General

The immediate local area is frequented by visitors to existing licensed premises where a responsible, family-friendly culture has developed and is carefully monitored and maintained by the licensees. Between our local businesses we attract well behaved sociable people where many of the regulars have forged friendships and where people look out for one another. New-comers are, of course, welcome but irresponsible behaviour is not tolerated.

Prevention of Crime & Disorder

Indoors and outdoors CCTV is operated at Southbound Café-Bar as well as at the other licensed premises within Victoria Business Centre. We enjoy good relations with the regular patrols of Community Wardens and Police Officers

Public Safety

Our staff and regular customers make up a community of responsible adults who enjoy friendly relations and a shared concern for one another and newcomers

Prevention of Public Nuisance

Perhaps despite the location of Southbound Café-Bar, we very rarely encounter individuals who might make a nuisance of themselves. On the isolated occasions where an intoxicated person has attempted to come in we have escorted them away in a friendly manner after providing a cup of water.

Protection of Children

Families and parents with small infants are welcome during the day and early evening. We do not allow unaccompanied minors on the premises, and all children are expected to be taken home by 21:00 under normal circumstances

Conditions agreed with the Licensee

1. Any shutters and doors to be closed when regulated entertainment is taking place. 2. Clear signage displayed at the premises requesting customers to leave the area quietly.
