It is company policy that alcohol will not be served to under 18’s under any circumstances, including those eating a table meal where they are accompanied by an adult. In our assessment, we determine that it would be inappropriate for children under the age of 18 to be permitted in the venue after the hours of 9pm if alcohol is being served, unless there is a private function/hire where this has been agreed in writing by the owners of the establishment. The owners will have determined any safeguarding issues prior to giving consent. Between the hours of 6pm and 9pm, all children under the age 18 must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18. Proof of age of the adult may be asked. All staff will be suitably trained to ensure excessive amounts of alcohol is not served or consumed by any customer, whether they are with or without children. Any customer whom appears to intoxicated will be asked to leave the premises, should they refuse measures will be taken to inform the local Police for support. We will ensure age suitable music or televised films will played during the times where children are permitted in the premises. All staff will require suitable references prior to commencing employment. Any indication of alcohol, drug abuse or gambling issues will result in immediate dismissal. We believe children should be able to enjoy our restaurant and should feel safe at all times. We will not tolerate inappropriate language or behaviour, should this occur the offending person/’s will be asked to be mindful of the young presence, should they continue they will be asked to leave. Should they refuse or are abusive we will contact the local Police for support.
